RAMCIP (Robotic Assistant for MCI Patients at home) is a Research and Innovation Action (RIA) funded by the EU in the context of the HORIZON2020 programme, with the aim to research and develop a novel domestic robotic assistant for MCI and early AD patients.

RAMCIP participated in a workshop entitled “Trends and challenges of Cyber Physical Systems: Design, Architectures and Applications” at the ICT conference 2016 which was held in Thessaloniki, Greece. It was a full day workshop with a combination of invited talks and demonstrators from both industry and academia, jointly supported by RADIO, ARGO, and RAMCIP EU H2020 funded projects.

RAMCIP meets in Lublin

The fourth plenary meeting of the RAMCIP project was held in Lublin, Poland, in 3-4 March 2016, hosted at the premises of the Medical University of Lublin (LUM). During this meeting, the RAMCIP partners presented their advancements and progress with respect to the previous meeting, especially in the scope of the project’s technical developments on the algorithms and methods that are planned to be integrated on the first version of the RAMCIP robot, foreseen by the end of this year.

RAMCIP participated in this year’s International Symposium on Companion Technologies, which was held in Ulm, Germany, on September 2015, through the invited speech: “Emotion recognition in service robots for Assisted Living Environments – the RAMCIP project approach”. The speech was given by Dr. Dimitrios Giakoumis from CERTH.

RAMCIP participated in the 5th EAI International Symposium on Pervasive Computing Paradigms for Mental Health (MindCare 2015), which was held on September 2015, in Milan, Italy. The following paper was presented: Kostavelis, I., Giakoumis, D., Malasiotis, S. and Tzovaras, D., “RAMCIP: Towards a Robotic Assistant to Support Elderly with Mild Cognitive Impairments at home”.
